David A. Lowrance joined James H. Horton Law Firm, P.C. as an associate in the firm’s Denton office in August 2009. David has more than 25 years of legal experience and focuses his practice primarily on civil litigation, criminal defense, family litigation, and probate matters. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in criminal justice and served as a police officer for the city of Irving for three years.
He then earned his Juris Doctorate from the Southern Methodist University School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class. David practiced civil litigation in Fort Worth for more than 20 years, handling cases involving deceptive trade practices, commercial litigation, asbestos, medical malpractice defense, medical implant litigation, horticulture/chemical litigation, railroad litigation, aviation litigation, insurance coverage, and personal injury litigation.
He is licensed to practice in Texas, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas.
